Anniversary Celebration Show at QuarterYellowStudios

 7.01.11
Anniversary Celebration of QYS
& Mural Hunt
Yes it is a game.

Can you believe it? One year: That’s how long we here at QuarterYellowStudios
have been in the heart of downtown Binghamton. Since July 2010, we’ve been
working, playing, and getting down and creative alongside the other residence at
JungleScience Gallery and Artist Laboratory. And you know what? We’ve had a blast
doing it. Who would have thought a couple twenty year-old’s passion for art would
be the catalyst to creating an illustrious attraction in the downtown Arts district.

 QYS Anniversary Exhibit!

The Public.
Loving the Hunt.

A Stranger Left Behind a Beautiful Drawing.

The Space!

Do you like games? Good, because the only mural in the room
(ya know, the big one in the back),
is full of hidden images that are begging to be found. This main
event, aptly named Mural Hunt, was incredibly well received by the public and had
more participants than could be counted. Matched with artwork by Kady Perry
and pottery by Brandon Scott, our one-year celebration could not have gone more
swimmingly. A big Thank You to all that attended and made this best anniversary
we could have asked for!

Mural Hunt Prizes.

Medium Level Prize for Winners.

Works by ceramicist and culinary artist Brandon Scott and
mathematician and muralist Kady Perry were on display in celebration of the event.
The wall art, by Kady, is paired selectively with the ceramic pieces,
by Brandon, below or near them.
Enjoy!

  1. Wow, this show was superb. I had just wonderful time watching all of these photographs. At the domestic San Francisco venues I also hosted an art and craft themed party for family and friends and truly that too turned out to be a blasting evening.
