Exterior Mural Project Update

Handicapped Children's Association

Total Hours: 40
Biggest Challenge: Stucco Surface

About a year ago the United Way celebrated the national Day of Caring.
And we here at QuarterYellow were preparing for our annual volunteer mural project,
where all supplies and painting is provided free of cost.

Muralist Kady Perry
Completing the Playground Mural Portion
of the Project, all by Adding Detail

The HCA faculty involved in determining the design asked the muralist to
"add a touch of nature and the outdoors to the inside of a city
surrounded by concrete sidewalks and parking lots"

The final scene was a whimsical and very colorful rendering of a park and garden scene.

Muralist Kady Perry & a team of Binghamton University
students worked together to start a mural project, partnering with the
Center for Civic Engagement at the university, as part of the
million dollar renovation project awarded the the HCA Johnson City facility.

The project made headline!
