Mathematics and the Visual Arts

Soon to come is a portion of the blog that will host posts concerning the combination of the field of mathematics and the visual arts. The posts will be including articles and information on how others are uniquely combining the two fields!

To start:

Don’t miss “Fractal Art” by Cornelia Yoder, Ph.D. at Phelps Mansion Museum
(191 Court St. Binghamton, NY)
Dr. Yoder will exhibit examples of fractal art, using mathematical equations to create the computer-generated art which is not the same as you get with a brush.

  1. Does anyone know how to prove Lagrange's Theorem? (If |G|< infininity and H is a subset of G then |H| divides |G|). Brilliant Man, next to Georg Cantor of course!
